Request Update

Thank you for lifting up Ulker and her family. She has been found and is now married. This is one of those aspects of the culture here that is a bit hard to understand. When a girl is successfully kidnapped, the family generally assumes that she didn't resist very hard or perhaps even encouraged the young man. Here in the city, many of these "kidnappings" are actually elopements. Regardless of whether she was truly kidnapped and forced to marry or just ran away with a guy, it is shameful to the family and they will often disown the girl. Please continue to remember this family, especially Ulker's marriage as a 15-year old in less than ideal circumstances.
